This late 1963 UK pressing of their debut 45 dates is on the black & silver Parlophone label: R 4949
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK...' text but have upper/lower case 'Parlophone Co. Ltd..' rim texts.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the 'P.S I Love you' label.
'MPZT' codes are present in both run-outs.
N.B. This 45 plays the same version of 'Love Me Do' as the 1st, red label pressing.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 17144-1N & 7XCE 17145-1N
Stamper codes: 1/RD & 1/RR
The disc is housed in its original green & white Parlophone company cover.
CONDITION
Disc
Labels: EXCELLENT
A clean & undamaged pair with a small collection of spindle trails around the side 2 centre hole mainly but no other significant blemishes or wear.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both playing surfaces are clean & bright with just some harmless wispy paper-type hairlines in strong daylight but no significant surface marks or anything I would call a scratch. Closer examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp does little more than highlight these minor blemishes but adds no further significant wear.
Play: VERY GOOD +
A nice warm and clear sound with a rich, deep bass. There is a hint of light background in the breaks but no groove/play wear or any other audible faults or wear of any description.
Cover: VERY GOOD
General age/storagewear but no major faults.
**PLEASE NOTE: This item is located in and will be shipped from AUSTRIA. 1st class international postage to UK addresses will be 5 GBP**
