THE BEATLES - MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR
Here we have a very rare original stereo 1967 first pressing UK issue set of two EP's with amazing colour booklet sleeve and lyric sheet-just as the Beatles originally intended to release it, all complete and in near mint condition.
on PARLOPHONE RECORDS : SMMT-1 : STEREO (1967) - Rare UK 1st Pressing on Parlophone label with "The Gramophone Co. Ltd" and "Sold in UK.." label text, and blue lyric sheet.
This was released by the beatles in 1967 after "sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band", however it did not sell too well here, partly due to the American LP version being imported into the UK and being bought instead of this release ( more of the US Lp's were sold in the UK than these EP's!) Eventually it was released as an LP in the UK ten years later. Superb 24 page booklet telling the story of the film in pictures and psychedelic style comic strips, two Ep's and blue lyric sheet.
This is the rarer stereo version which did not sell as many copies as the mono.(It was still early days for stereo, there was less demand, and the cost was higher.)
Vinyl is in near mint condition. Has hardly been played, it is nice and shiny like new, I have been listening to it and it sounds stunning - really warm, loud and clear sounding, superb. Labels are in unmarked near mint condition, on one of the centre holes there is still a sliver of plastic attached, showing that it has hardly been played. Both EP's Have original push-out centres still attached, there is a "KT" tax code embossed on label side two and side four. The original laminated booklet is in near mint condition, it is almost like new, the pages are all crisp, there are no creases, folds, writing or tears anywhere, this is a superb collector's piece.
