Description

On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Beatles called 'Please Please Me' and is a Stereo UK 1st pressing!!!! THIS IS BY FAR THE RAREST & MOST SOUGHT AFTER UK BEATLES LP!!!!  IT IS SIMPLY INCREDIBLY RARE!!!! IT IS THOUGHT THAT ONLY 900 COPIES OF THIS LP WAS EVER PRESSED ON THE BLACK AND GOLD LABEL IN STEREO!!!!  MOST COPIES THAT TURN UP BARELY PLAY AND THE COVERS ARE USUALLY SWOPPED OR RIPPED TO BITS.  BUT NOT THIS ONE!!!! WHILST THIS COPY ISNT IN MINT CONDITION IT HAS GREAT CONDITIONED LABELS (THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS LP), IT PLAYS WELL (NO JUMPS ETC) , AND HAS ITS ORIGINAL 1ST PRESS STEREO COVER!!!!  OF COURSE WHILE THE MUSIC IS IMPORTANT (THOUGH OF COURSE THIS CAN BE HEARD ON ANY LATER YELLOW/BLACK PRESSING) - WHAT IS IMPORTANT ON THIS LP IS THE LABELS!!!!  AND THE LABELS ON THIS LP ARE IN GREAT CONDITION!!!! THIS IS ALSO A BLACK & GOLD STEREO 1ST PRESSING - WITH DICK JAMES CREDITS ON BOTH SIDES!!!! THIS IS ALSO THE VERY EARLIEST POSSIBLE BLACK & GOLD STEREO PRESSING - WITH 1G/1R MOTHER AND STAMPERS!!!!  THAT MEANS THAT THIS IS THE VERY EARLIEST POSSIBLE STEREO 1ST PRESSING AND IT IS LIKELY THAT THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN ONE OF THE FIRST 300 COPIES PRESSED!!!! THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A REAL 'PIECE OF HISTORY'!!!! THIS IS THE VERY EARLIEST POSSIBLE BLACK & GOLD STEREO 1ST PRESSSING!!!!  DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!

This is the ORIGINAL Stereo UK Black & Gold 1st pressing from 1963 on the STEREO Black & Gold Parlophone Label!!!! It is a MEGA RARE 1G/1R 1st STEREO Pressing and it also has 'The Parlophone Company' edge text, and its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'thicker' Polythene lined Emitex inner. It also has the ORIGINAL 'Black & Gold' E.J.Day 1st Press Stereo cover with 'Angus McBean'  pushed far to the right on the cover front. It is also IMPORTANT to note - that NOT ALL of the Black and Gold covers were like this - only the very early copies. The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The matrix numbers are YEX 94-1 & YEX 95-1. The stamper codes are 1/G & 1/R. THESE ARE THE EARLIEST MOTHERS & STAMPERS!!!!  The record also has an ZMT Tax coding. The Cat. No is PCS 3042 on the ORIGINAL STEREO Black & Gold Parlophone label (see picture) and is a Black & Gold Stereo 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are Pure quality Beatles at their best!!!! Any fan of The Beatles, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The record labels are in GREAT condition (see pictures)!!!!  They retain every bit of their original shine and gloss and the gold writing is STUNNINGLY sharp with NO fading!!!!  There is some slight (and I MEAN slight) rubbing around the centre hole - though this hasnt affected the colour and you can see from the pictures that these labels are in brilliant condition and are so much better than most you see!!!!  There is NO general fading to the colour and the Black background and the Gold writing is still vivid and sharp!!!!  A REALLY GREAT SET OF LABELS!!!!  The vinyl is still in reasonable condition and plays VERY well indeed!!!!  There is NO jumps AT ALL, and the sound is SUPERB with NO distortion and GREAT SOUND!!!!  Even the inner tracks play brilliantly!!!!  There isnt much in the way of crackle either - with only some low level crackle in the gaps/run on grooves - though this does NOT affect the music in ANY way!!!! There is NO hiss either and the sound clarity is great!!!! There are a few clicks and pops - but these are pretty few and far between - and this record does play well!!!!  BUT AS I SAID BEFORE - THE MUSIC (WHILST IMPORTANT) CAN BE HEARD ON ANY LATER YELLOW AND BLACK PRESSING.  AND THERE ISNT MANY PEOPLE WHO CAN CLAIM TO OWN A BLACK AND GOLD STEREO 1ST PRESSING!!!!  TODAY THESE LPS ARE VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - BUT AS THE YEARS GO ON THESE BLACK & STEREO PRESSINGS WILL VIRTUALLY DISAPPEAR FROM THE OPEN MARKET!!!!  DONT MISS OUT ON THIS VERY RARE CHANCE TO OWN ONE OF THE RAREST AND MOST DEFINTIVE BEATLES LPS!!!!  Visually the record does have some general light scuffing, some hairlines, and some surface marks - but alot of these can only be seen under light and the record is still very presentable.  The record is very clean looking and this is definitely a GREAT chance for someone to own a respectable copy (with great labels) of this MASSIVE RARITY for a cheaper price than a MINT copy!!!! However I WILL NOT fall into the trap of overgrading to compensate for age and the record must PROPERLY grade Good (maybe +) - PROPERLY AND ACCURATELY GRADED!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'thicker' POLYTHENE lined Emitex inner sleeve which is in STUNNING condition - with just some slight yellowing!!!!

The E.J.Day FLIPBACK 1st Press Cover is in brilliant condition considering its age and rarity!!!! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1ST PRESS STEREO COVER (with Angus McBean far right) - and is VERY rare in its own right!!!!  It has NO spinal wear (perfect side words), only slight corner wear (NO splits), only a few light creases and NO writing!!!! There is a GREAT shine to the laminate - with NO nasty glazing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in GREAT condition with NO writing, only some minimal grubbyness in places, and only VERY slight yellowing!!!! There is NO flipback loss!!!!  There is also NO splits, NO rips, and NO tears!!!! This cover has to be one the BETTER CONDITIONED examples of the 'earliest' 'Please Please Me' Stereo covers you can find (Most are found in bits)!!!! The only faults to mention is some typical slight roughening to some parts of top/bottom edges through storage (NOT through the colour), and only some creasing in places (NOT tears) to the top/bottom flipbacks.  There is also a small mark on the top right of the reverse of the cover.   However as you can see from the pictures - this cover has survived remarkably well and the cover has NO major faults AT ALL and this MEGA RARE Stereo 1st Press cover looks great!!!! There is NO flipback loss, NO splits, NO rips and NO staining!!!! The cover must grade Very Good (Minus) - PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!!!! THIS REALLY IS A SUPERB CHANCE TO OWN THIS HUGE RARITY AT A CHEAPER PRICE THAN A MINT COPY!!!!  THERE REALLY ISNT MANY PEOPLE WHO CAN CLAIM TO OWN ONE OF THESE!!!!

HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this RARE Beatles LP!!!!
