On offer here is a SERIOUSLY rare LP (especially in this condition!) by The Beatles, called "Please Please Me," and is an EXTREMELY RARE 1963 UK STEREO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Black & Gold Parlophone label!! We REALLY hate to part with this incredible piece of Rock ‘N Roll history, as it is a VERY unique, special, and valuable item, indeed. However, it is time for someone else to enjoy it (and hopefully pass it down to the next generation). So here goes…
THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE IN EVERY RESPECT AND IS REGARDED BY MOST COLLECTORS AS THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER BEATLES LP OF ALL TIME!! THIS IS THE LEGENDARY UK STEREO 1ST PRESSING OF “PLEASE PLEASE ME” ON THE IMPOSSIBLY RARE BLACK & GOLD STEREO PARLOPHONE LABEL! HOWEVER, WHAT MAKES THIS LP EVEN MORE SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION AND HAS TO BE ONE OF THE BEST CONDITIONED BLACK & GOLD STEREOS LEFT IN EXISTENCE!! BLACK & GOLD STEREOS VIRTUALLY NEVER TURN UP FOR SALE, AND EVEN WHEN ONE OCCASSIONALLY DOES SURFACE, IT IS NEARLY ALWAYS IN TERRIBLE CONDITION, WITH HORRIBLY WORN LABELS, A SCRATCHED RECORD, AND A BATTERED, NASTY-LOOKING COVER. BUT NOT THIS ONE! THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION AND IS TRULY A BLACK & GOLD STEREO TO BE PROUD OF! IT HAS SUPERB, UNWORN BLACK & GOLD STEREO LABELS, A STUNNING CONDITIONED RECORD (WITH A SUPERB SHINE), AND A COVER IN FANTASTIC CONDITION!!
IMPORTANT: NOT ONLY DOES THIS LP LOOK BRILLIANT, BUT IT PLAYS SUPERBLY TOO, WITH ABSOLUTELY NO DISTORTION AT ALL AND AWESOME SOUND QUALITY!! TAKE A LOOK AT OUR VERY CLEAR PICTURES! IT WILL BE A VERY, VERY LONG TIME BEFORE YOU SEE ANOTHER BLACK & GOLD STEREO IN THIS CONDITION AGAIN!! THIS IS THE 1963 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS BLACK & GOLD STEREO PARLOPHONE LABELS (WITH THE 1ST PRESS 'DICK JAMES' CREDITS), 1ST PRESS 'POLY LINED' THICKER PAPER 'PATENTS APPLIED FOR' INNER SLEEVE, 'THE PARLOPHONE COMPANY' EDGE TEXT, NO 'SOLD IN THE UK' TEXT, NO 'FIRST PUBLISHED' TEXT, A 'ZT' TAX CODE, A LARGE STEREO ON THE COVER FRONT, AND E.J. DAY FLIP BACK LAMINATED COVER!!!!
THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE IN EVERY RESPECT, AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!! AN EXAMPLE OF THIS LP (NOT AS NICE AS THIS ONE AND WITH SPINDLE MARKS AND WEAR AROUND THE CENTER HOLE) IS CURRENTLY SELLING ON A VERY REPUTABLE RECORD COLLECTORS SITE FOR A SMALL FORTUNE. THIS IS A GREAT INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY, AS GREAT EXAMPLES OF THIS LP HAVE CONTINUED TO RISE AND ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TO DO SO!
This is the original Black & Gold STEREO Parlophone UK 1st pressing from 1963 and is in BRILLIANT condition!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The matrix numbers are YEX 94-1 & YEX 95-1. The Cat. No is PCS 3042 (PMC 1202) on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Black & Gold STEREO Parlophone labels (see picture) and is a STEREO 1st pressing!! All the tracks are Pure, quality Beatles at their best!!!! Any fan of The Beatles, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The MEGA RARE Black & Gold record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO writing, NO wear AT ALL and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! It is SERIOUSLY rare to find Black & Gold labels in this SUPERB condition!!!! Even the area around the centre hole has NO WEAR AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is in STUNNING condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 MEGA light hairlines (only visible under bright light), only 2 or 3 MEGA light scuff lines (again - only visible under bright light) and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! IT’S AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK, HAS AN INCREDIBLE SHINE, AND LOOKS SUPERB!!!! It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groove wear and NO distortion either!!!! Even the inner most tracks play SUPERBLY!!!! The record must grade Very Good++++ if not better - though most would grade higher and it really is VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE to find a Black & Gold STEREO 1st Press record in this condition!!!! BRILLIANT RECORD!!!! We do not feel this record is over-graded in ANY way and use STRICT RC grading standards – Absolutely Stunning!!!!
The best thing about this LP (as well as its 'looks'), is that it plays AWESOMELY. Often, even if these LP’s look nice, they play terribly.
We purchased this piece from a dealer in the UK who knew the ONE previous owner. He said he knew for a fact that the previous owner barely played this LP AT ALL, and the very few times they did, it was played with a CORRECT Stereo needle. This LP has NEVER been played with a Mono needle and as a result the sound quality is AWESOME!!!! Also another problem with some of these LP’s is 'over used' stampers - leading to poor sound quality from day 1. But this one was clearly pressed with perfect stampers, as the record has AMAZING sound quality. It was even test played on a VERY revealing deck used to test 1960s Stereos. It has a surround sound function and often reveals deficiencies in the high end sound on use of this. But there was NONE of these problems with this LP!!!! So all in all one of the BEST sounding Black & Gold Stereos left in existence!!!!!
The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Poly lined' Emitex inner sleeve - which is in STUNNING condition with NO splits!!!! The Flipback Laminated STEREO 'E.J. Day' Cover is in BRILLIANT condition and very VERY hard to find like this!!!! It has barely ANY edge wear (NOT through the color), NO splits, NO spine wear (STUNNING, flat UNCREASED spine), NO rips, only slight corner wear (NOT through the color), only a mild crease in the upper right corner, which is not highly visible in regular light (see pictures) and a few other very light creases (cover is still VERY flat looking), NO tears, VERY shiny laminate, NO stains (except minor aging on bottom front right corner), and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in BRILLIANT condition with NO wear, NO rubbing, NO grubbiness, NO writing, beautiful flat flip backs (with only VERY minor rubbing to the edges of the flip backs in a VERY few places), and barely ANY yellowing AT ALL!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++++ and is INCREDIBLY hard to find in this condition!!!!
THIS LP IS ONE OF THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER BEATLES LPS OF ALL TIME AND IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION!!!! THIS IS TRULY A BLACK & GOLD STEREO TO BE VERY PROUD OF AND PLAYS SUPERBLY TOO!!!! IT WILL SURELY BE A VERY, VERY LONG TIME BEFORE YOU GET THE CHANCE TO OWN THIS LEGENDARY LP AGAIN IN THIS CONDITION - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!
TAKE A LOOK AT PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!!
