VERY RARE 1990'S CAPITOL RECORDS ' PRODUCTION TEST PRESSING ' 45!  (Capitol S7-18894 A/B.) This is not the conventional white label test pressing we are used to seeing. As rare as those are, this is even scarcer! This is referred to as a "Production Test Pressing". That means that it was taken right out of the record press early to test vinyl weight, label correctness, etc. - it never got to the point of trimming the wide flashing from the edge or even cutting out the large center hole!! The record was taken off the press raw, when the it was still hot (malleable), so it cooled with wrinkles and waves! The waviness is quite cool and normal for this type of Test Press 45. The grooves are well pressed, the labels are fully intact (no center hole!), and both sides even have the "MASTERED BY CAPITOL" stamps on the inner dead wax, proving authenticity. If you collect Beatles records, colored vinyl records, or rare "pre production" or "error" records that are really unique, this would be a fabulous addition to your collection. And it is actually quite striking and beautiful - great for framing or display.
