Description
This is the mega rare very first “Loud Cut” pressing from December 3, 1965. When “Rubber Soul” was initially mixed it was slightly different to how we hear it today. These early mixes only ever appeared in mono and are distinguished by the matrix numbers XEX 579-1 / XEX 580-1 in the deadwax. The decision was made to halt production whilst the mother plates were re-cut making the initial pressing very scarce indeed. Black label with yellow logo and silver print. “The Gramophone Co. Ltd.” printed at the start perimeter print and “Sold in U.K. subject…” text. Tracing-paper-lined “Use Emitex” die-cut inner sleeve. With Sans-serif label type.
The front laminated sleeve has only a few creases and the spine is fully intact and legible. Unfortunately, there is a stain on the back and small writing, ‘CONDER’? The inner sleeve is fully intact but has significant age staining. The vinyl has a few light marks and one non feelable faint scratch that does not affect play. There is absolutely nothing deep or alarming. This is 60's mono which is tough stuff. Other than some light background noise in the background it plays beautifully. Remember this is a completely different mix. This is a must for all Beatles fans to have in their collection.

Royal Mail has recently increased their prices and Ebay now take 10% of all postage costs in the final fee and Paypal take a further 5%. This means I am not passing on the cost for packaging or my time queuing in the Post Office. I will not lower the postage price, please do not ask. I try to be as accurate as I can, but unless otherwise stated I have not listened to the LP the whole way through and like all used records there is always a chance there may be sound defects.
