Offered for sale is a rare Canadian  first STEREO pressing of the Beatles “Something New “ LP ST-2108

Vinyl is Near Mint and labels are clean- really nice shinny copy of this rare album

Sleeve is Excellent (EX) with only a couple of corner kinks  (no writing-no splits)– see scans

This album was originally released in Canada as Mono Only and according to some books was not released in stereo until Mid 1966 according to Capital 6000 website. Other books say 1968 so not positive of year. Discogs says 1964.

Printing in deadwax is ST-1-2108 and on side two ST-2-2108

On the label (Canada) is in Brackets so that makes it a release from after June 1966 and the sleeve is a Parrs sleeve.

Early editions are RCA-pressed with a Parrs sleeve and use Scranton metal parts. Early editions in loose wrap, with or without Capitol/Pathe inner sleeve. Capitol ST-2108 STEREO copies appeared after June 1966, with brackets around the word Canada on the label perimeter print. EMI Music Canada lists original release date as 1964 July 20 ** (AGREE)

Grading is based on the following criteria

Mint = store stock new

NEAR Mint = near new with only one or two small insignificant defects

Excellent = extremely nice. Would be Near Mint, except for a couple of light hairlines or scuffs, which do not affect play

VG++ = extremely nice. Would be EXCELLENT, except for a few  light hairline scratches or scuffs, which do not affect play

VG+ = a nice, but used record that may have a series of light scuffs or scratches. It probably plays with a few pops, but has no serious problems.

VG = a well-used record that still sounds OK when played, but may have moderate surface noise, pops, etc.

VG- = a very well-worn record that plays through without skipping, but will do until a better copy comes along.
