Description
BEATLES UK, Rubber Soul, early Mono.
PMC 1267 Mono - original 1965 yellow & black Parlophone record labels.
A UK early issue in original condition, featuring:
1. the record label on side one has an unusual appearance, as at the centre there appears to be a much ‘rougher surface’ !, side two has the regular, ‘smoother finish’ to the label !.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is excellent condition and all the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve has the period ‘tri flipback’ design. The unlaminated rear of the sleeve has remained clean, fresh and white for its age. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. On the rear there are some light age related marks.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. A very clean and well preserved sleeve. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE VINYL: side one is in near excellent condition, side two is in excellent+ condition. The vinyl is made from the original thick, heavy vinyl. It has remained very clean, dark and glossy, it appears not to have been played very much at all. The record lays flat on the turntable.
The matrix nos. are - XEX 579 - 4 and XEX 580 – 4,
The mother / stampers are: ‘ 4 1 2 R O D ’ and ‘ 5 P G R ’.
THE AUDIO: is excellent++, a near perfect audio, an excellent playing copy, very little to be heard in the way of the usual light ‘dusty, crackle’.
THE LABELS: are in excellent+ condition. There are the letters KT embossed around the spindle hole on side two. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.
