BEATLES UK – With the Beatles, medium size stereo logo & Jobete label.

PCS 3045 – original 1963 black and yellow Parlophone labels.

A UK album in original condition, featuring:

1. a hard to find sleeve with a medium size stereo logo printed to the top right front. Only a very small number of these medium size stereo logo sleeves were printed,

2. the rear of the sleeve has the more unusual spelling of ‘got a’ for the track ‘You really got a hold on me’, as most of these sleeves I have seen seem to have the ‘gotta’ spelling !,

3. the sleeve to the rear features the later corrected spelling of ‘got a’ for the track ‘You really got a hold on me’, but on the record label on side two, this track is spelt ‘Gotta’ hold on me !,

4. on side two of the record label the publishing credits for the track ‘Money’ is printed as ‘Jobete’, this was an error and was soon corrected.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition, the front is laminated. The spine is in very good++ condition it has remained clean and white for its age, and all the text can be read. The rear of the sleeve has remained clean and white for its age. The rear of the sleeve has the period tri flipback design. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent+ condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. A very clean sleeve for its age. The two opening edges have remained clean and unworn. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in near very good condition, side two is in near excellent condition. The record has remained very dark and glossy and doest look as if it has been played very much.

The matrix is: YEX 110 – 2 and YEX 111 – 2,

The mother / stampers are: ‘ 2 A R ’ and ‘ 2 R T ’.

THE AUDIO: in general side one plays with relatively quiet grooves, but I did hear some light ‘ticks’ at the end of track four and throughout tracks five, six and seven.

Side two plays excellent++, with excellent quiet grooves. The record plays with a loud and clear period stereo sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in excellent condition, the letters ‘K T’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
