Description
Up for auction is a copy of Yellow Submarine by The Beatles, released in 1969 on Apple, cat no PCS 7070. This is a “dark apple” pressing in a flipback cover, from mid-to-late 1969. Curiously, the cover is from a (rarer) mono pressing PMC 7070 – not the first copy I’ve had like this, bizarrely.
Condition: the Beatles side is in lovely condition, with no serious marks at all. The instrumental side has a couple of small marks not seriously affecting play. Labels looks fine apart from the usual spindle trails; there are a couple of small black marks on the a-side label, but these look like printing anomalies rather than defects. Mono cover has some laminate creases, some spine & edge wear, a couple of repaired small (1-2cm) tears on the open edge, and some general wear on the rear (together with “1969” written in pen). VG+/VG-.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence!
