Description
Up for auction is a copy of Yesterday & Today by The Beatles, released in 1966 on Capitol T 2553. This is a second state pasteover mono Butcher cover. Ringo’s v-neck is clearly visible beneath the trunk slick, and a cm or so of the lower right hand corner has been lifted to reveal the “offensive” material. This copy has a no 6 RIAA number, indicating a Winchester pressing, I think.
Condition: front cover is not bad at all. A little ring wear, a few spots of pen marking, but all intact, and only a cm or so of seam splitting on the upper & lower edge. It will make a decent candidate for a peel job, if that’s how the lucky winner wants to proceed. The rear has an X, a name & an initial written in marker. Vinyl has a few minor marks but nothing severe or feelable. VG all round.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item in pictured here is the item for sale.
