A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE THIS EXTREMELY RARE AND HARD TO FIND SECOND STATE (UNPEELED) "BUTCHERS SLEEVE" ORIGINAL CAPITOL RECORDS L.P. RELEASE FROM 1966.

I WILL NOW DESCRIBE THIS ITEM AS ACCURATELY AS POSSIBLE:-

THE OUTER COVER:- There is minor damage to the top left hand corner (around the CAPITOL logo) where a mild attempt has been made to "peel" it. The name "Robert" is written in black biro. There is a small mark in the bottom right hand corner. The overall image is intact, but there is minor scuffing. The opening edges are intact with no tears.

THE SPINE:- There is a 10" split which has been taped ("invisibly"!!)

THE BACK COVER:- There are no rips or tears, but a name has been written in black felt-tip pen at the top edge. There is an obvious ring mark.

THE ORIGINAL PRINTED "CAPITOL" INNER SLEEVE:- This is in pretty good shape, however there is a 2" split to the bottom edge.

THE CIRCULAR "CAPITOL" RECORD LABELS:- Both are in good clean condition with no marks, stickers, or labels. The area around the spindle hole is surprisingly un-marked.

THE 12" VINYL:- Both sides are black and shiny, but there are several "hairlines". Under careful scrutiny - there is nothing deep or serious. Both sides played well when tested, with the minimum of background noise and no jumps.

ALSO INCLUDED WITH THIS ITEM WILL BE A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL LETTER ISSUED BY CAPITOL RECORDS DISTRIBUTING CORP., (DATED JUNE 14th. 1966), SENT TO REVIEWERS, ADVISING THAT THIS ORIGINAL "BUTCHER'S" SLEEVE DESIGN WAS TO BE DISCARDED, AND REQUESTING THE RETURN OF COPIES TO CAPITOL RECORDS IN HOLYWOOD.

THIS ALBUM IS NOT IN MINT CONDITION BY ANY MEANS, BUT THE ALL - IMPORTANT FRONT COVER IS WHAT REALLY MATTERS WITH THIS EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND BEATLES RARITY, AND THIS IS ONE OF THE BETTER COPIES OF THE VERY RARE "SECOND STATE" THAT YOU ARE LIKELY TO FIND. AS YOU WILL SEE FROM THE PHOTOS, IT IS ABSOLUTELY GENUINE.

Using a special, non-damaging fluid, it has been possible to photograph the resulting "opaque" to clearly reveal parts of this original, second state, "Butcher" cover.
