Description

Almost a year after the first copy sold on ebay for over $2000, Bill Bush presents another MINT copy of his own Ronn recording, I'm Waiting. This is one of the very limited number of singles that Bill still has in his possession from the 1965 session in the back room of a TV repair shop in NW Louisiana.

If you missed the band's live performance at this year's Glasgow International Jazz Festival then you missed a great show. The live version of I'm Waiting was amazing and absolutely true to the record in every way. The proceeds of this sale go directly to the artist and his family. There is no reserve on this but we don't really need one, right?

Unlike the two less-than-perfect examples of the track that have appeared on ebay in the past year this is 100% MINT condition. The record has never been sold, traded or even played (other than once to double check condition) coming from the batch that Bill took from Stan Lewis for promotional purposes at the time. The record is in the original 'trade' sleeve that it left the Ronn pressing plant in way back in the day.

The rarity of this track is now well and truly confirmed, and it will get rarer over time - it still fails to surface despite huge popularity on the Northern Soul scene over the past three years. The lucky winner of this copy gets a personal, signed letter of providence from Bill Bush explaining the fascinating story of how it was made, with I'm Waiting as a b-side written hastily at the last minute!

The chances of owning a MINT copy of this rare disc are practically zero. Bid accordingly please, and remember the proceeds go to the artist by way of a long overdue payday for this unsung hero of the Hammond B3.
