Cover: VG slightly worn in places but worse on the corners, edges and spine. Also minor creasing inside the gatefold. SLEEVE.....GATEFOLD and UN-LAMINATED. THESE VERY FIRST ORIGINAL PRINTED SLEEVES WERE MADE FROM A VERY COURSE GRADE OF CARD BOARD WHICH GIVES THE SURFACE AN UN-EVEN LOOK AND FEEL. THIS IS ONLY SEEN ON THE VERY FIRST PRESS SLEEVES.It contains the all important first printing script in the warning using the word 'STEREO' instead of the intended word VERTIGO, this is the easiest way to spot the very first printed sleeves.
Vinyl: EX- looks like it has been played a few times. Some surface marks but they doesn't effect the quality of the sound at all
Labels: EX minor wearing on some of the text and some spots of dicolouration but overall they are excellent. First issue released on the ''swirl'' Vertigo label with the wording ''Vertigo'' below the spindle hole and 'a philips record product' text.

MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
