RARE French first pressing of Black Sabbath`s eponymously-titled debut "Black Sabbath" on Vertigo Records (February 1970).
"We just went in the studio and did it in a day. We played our live set and that was it. We actually thought a whole day was quite a long time, then off we went the next day to play for £20 in Switzerland." - Tony Iommi in Music Week, March 2009.

GRADING:
MINT- COVER in near-perfect condition. Please see photos for details.
- Original French first pressing gatefold sleeve with laminated outer and unlaminated inner gatefold.
- Laminate retains its full lustre, with no dulling or other wear. Stored in plastic outer since purchase.
- Four or five very small creases to front of spine.
- Otherwise, this sleeve is in pristine condition, with no edge or corner wear whatsoever.

MINT- RECORD that looks practically unplayed. Near-perfect audio reproduction throughout. 
- One or two very lightest paper scuffs from sleeve removal only. Other than that, no visible wear whatsoever.
- Original French first pressing Vertigo Records swirl labels with no spindle wear at all.
- Small store sticker on the label of Side One, removable with care.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "PHI AA 847903 1Y 380" and "PHI AA 847903 2Y 380", indicating a first pressing.
- This record is hereby certified to be an original, very first French pressing of "Black Sabbath", released in February 1970.
- This copy of "Black Sabbath" comes from my personal collection. It has been very well looked after and played perhaps twice in as many decades.
