Description
(a) WE GRADE THE VINYL AS EXCELLENT (EXC). Under bright light there are some very minor superficial marks (mainly sleeve marks)are VISIBLE, but they appear insignificant relative to the overall condition of the vinyl, and are not visually distracting. The vinyl looks impeccable. The original luster is completely intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles.
(b) The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!
(c) Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
(d) We grade the cover as EXCELLENT (EXC). There is hardly any shelf ware. There is one bumped corner. The spine is in great shape, see pics. This is a thick cardboard cover, American style.
(e) This is the original mono pressing, much more rare than the stereo pressing.
(f) Original blue & white "Blue Note microgroove" mono label with blue text.
(g) hand etched matrix number with machine stamped "VAN GELDER" and "ear" logo stamped in dead wax area.
