Columbia Records (AS 40) original radio station white label promo only release of THE BLUE OYSTER CULT BOOTLEG EP. The four track EP includes: THE RED AND THE BLACK / BUCK'S BOOGIE / WORKSHOP OF THE TELESCOPES / CITIES ON FLAME WITH ROCK AND ROLL.
The famous promo is now over 40 years old and during that time has fluctuated in price but one thing has always remained - it has consistantly been an in-demand record. If you're new to BOC or just as a recap, the timeline is as follows: The first LP was released in Jan '72 to good reviews. They went on tour with Alice Cooper and sales and positive word of mouth were increasing so Columbia got this out to radio stations in Oct '72 preceding the Feb '73 release of their second LP - Tyranny & Mutation.
Nice example with NM- (Near Mint Minus) vinyl. It's a great player with just a few very light sleeve marks. There's a lot of lustre and clean labels. Columbia didn't break the bank on the packaging with no jacket and just a printed low quality paper sleeve. This one is pretty typical with either some toning or soiling but most most likely equal parts of both. There are some ring impressions and light creasing but no tears or big stains.
