The Beach Boys -Pet Sounds 1972 Brother/Reprise Records Mono LP with alternate brown cover. This version is widely considered to be superior in sound quality to any 1960's Capitol Records pressing.
I have been buying and selling records on eBay for 15 years, and I am very picky about surface noise and flaws. Unlike most sellers on eBay, I playgrade my albums. I rarely use the term "near mint" in regard to vintage vinyl, but it applies to this one. This is, as they say a top copy. I also have 100% positive feedback since 1999, so rest assured that this description is 100% accurate.
The vinyl is gorgeous, with no scratches, scuffs or groove wear. It plays EX+ to NM. I played it loud on my Pro-Ject Xpression III turntable with Sumiko Black Pearl cartridge, and I had to strain to hear any surface noise at all. It is almost dead silent throughout, with no skips, pops or jumps. The labels are also NM, with no spindle marks. The cover has no seam splits or ringwear and would be NM, if not for the small cutout on the upper left corner (see photos). This is the only flaw I could find on this copy, and it's very minor. This is easily the nicest vintage copy of Pet Sounds I have ever seen.
