I just received photos of a disc I sent to Brooklyn NY last week, under eighty miles away as the crow flies.  Although this item was sent in a heavy corrugated LP mailer with additional corrugated pads it arrived bent and broken.  Obviously it was not the crow who delivered it but a disgruntled USPS employee.  After viewing the carnage that was once a perfect package we will no longer offer USPS Media service.  We will only offer Priority, insured.  Thanks for your past business and I'm sorry to have to add this burden to an already hurting eBay economy and I understand that I might not sell another LP but I see no other solution. eBay just sent an email to sellers about how they are protecting us after Hurricane Isaac, very nice, but they can't protect you or I from the United States Postal Service.  For many years I did promotion for music labels, large and small, and have accumulated product not only from labels I represented but labels I competed with as well.  Understand this was not a collection as such; it was the residue of what I did for a living. These discs were not stored in air tight lockers of keep in a temperature controlled clean room, they were in boxes in my office and although they may have never been removed from their dust jackets please expect dust and even some light scratching. Others have survived the passage of time in amazing undisturbed condition such as this example.  From the late seventies we have for a no reserve action a never opened copy of The Beatles, Capitol Records release "The Beatles / 1962-1966" catalogue # SEBX 11842.
