THE BEATLES - 'A COLLECTION BEATLES OLDIES'

This superb UK 1st MONO pressing dates from initial December 1966 release on the black & yellow Parlophone labels: PMC 7016

It contains all of the original UK hit 45 mixes plus the unreleased (at the time) track 'Bad Boy'

Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text & 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.

Matrix numbers: XEX 619-1G & XEX 620-1G

Stamper codes: 3/OO & 2/MM

Vinyl weight: 147g

Housed within a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover & black & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

A spectacularly clean & unworn set with just a small handful of faint spindle trails around each completely unworn centre hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT +

Pristine, factory-fresh playing surfaces which are unmarked in strong daylight with just some harmless wispy paper hairlines consistent with inner-sleeve storage/removal & a sparkling rainbow shine upon on close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp. Both sides of this immaculate copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Sound Quality: NEAR MINT

This pristine disc has received just a few careful plays on top-quality equipment only and the sound quality throughout is clean & unworn throughout. My play-check detected just a touch of low-level vinyl background between tracks but no trace of any groove/playwear distortion or any other audible distractions or wear of any description on any of these historic tracks.

Cover: NEAR MINT

A beautiful example of this vibrant cover which retains a clean, vibrant & unworn high-gloss front panel laminate which bears just four small 'thumbnails' towards its opening edge. There are no heavy bumps or bruising to any of the corners & both opening edges are completely unworn.

The exposed rear panel is clean and white where it should be with no ring-wear or indeed any blemishes whatsoever. All flipbacks are fully intact and unworn and both seams are smooth and unstressed.

The spine is clean, unworn & fully worded.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Clean & flat with age-toning to the paper, but no writing, seam splits or tears.
