THE BEATLES - 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'
1964 UK 1st *STEREO* PRESSING LP
This UK 1st STEREO pressing dates from initial release in 1964 and is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3058
The labels have different font faces but both carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.
A 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrix numbers: YEX 126-1 & YEX 127-1
Stamper codes: 2/AP & 1/RA
Vinyl weight: 159g
Housed in the a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the 'mid-sized front stereo indicator.
Complete with its 'Use Emitex..' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

Labels: VERY GOOD +
A bright & unblemished set with some wear and 'touch-up' to each centre hole but no writing or stickers anywhere.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both playing surfaces are clean & bright with side 1 being unmarked in strong daylight. Side 2 bears two or three light scratches, none of which are deep or 'feelable'. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals little more than a small numbers of harmless wispy inner-sleeve removal hairlines but no other significant marks or wear.
Play: VERY GOOD +
Despite frequent use, this copy plays without any significant deterioration to the sound quality or indeed any major faults. My careful play-check at volume found little in the way of play-wear and just some light background and an occasional light tick in the bands between some tracks and on the quieter 'And I Love Her' track. Apart from that however, there is little else to fault audibly on this enjoyable sounding copy.
Cover
VERY GOOD
A strong and fully intact example which displays some general storagewear but no major faults. The front panel is bright & glossy with some small spine bends and two or three 'thumbnails'. There is minor bruising to the corners but little wear to the opening edges. There is some moderate age-toning/discolouration to the rear panel but no writing or missing paper. There is a little wear to the lower seam but no splits or stresses to any.
Inner-sleeve
VERY GOOD +
Clean & crisp with just some moderate age-toning to the paper & some wrinkling from storage, but no writing, tears or seam splits.
