1964 UK 1st PRESS *STEREO* LP
**SUPERB EARLY COPY**
This 1964 UK 1st STEREO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3062
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.
Housed in an outer laminated, inner-flipback gatefold stereo cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 142-1 & YEX 143-1
Stamper numbers: 4/GD & 5/AD

Visual: NEAR MINT
Both sides appear MINT when viewed in strong daylight with no groove-whitening or dulling to the surfaces from improper long-term storage.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just a few wispy sleeve removal/paper hairlines but no other marks or any scratches.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This wonderful sounding disc has clearly been only carefully & rarely played on top quality equipment.
The sound throughout is perfectly clean & clear with no traces of any background noise or groovewear on any track.
Both run-ins and all bands play without intereference & there are no clicks, jumps or any other audible faults anywhere.
Cover: EXCELLENT PLUS
A super example of this easily damaged cover which retains an undamaged high-gloss laminate all round with no creasing or other significant wear.
The front leaf bears just a single small 'thumbnail' crease and spine wrinkle but is otherwise unworn.
All edges are sharp and clean with no tears or feathering, and all four corners are clean & unbumped.
The rear panel has a few tiny spine wrinkles but is otherwise unmarked and uncreased.
The inside is clean & black displaying just some minor discolouration to the white areas, but no rubbing, writing or missing paper.
The spine in square, unsquashed & retains its factory 'pinched' ends with no tears to the upper or lower spine.
Both inner flipbacks & the seams are in perfect condition.
Both discs have been carefully audibly graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck fitted with a Shelter 901 cartridge.
