Beatles first pressing Australia Banner labels like the UK Please Please Me only silver. I realize everyone that sees the Australian Plesse Please Me Gold Banner labels are the rarest Australian Beatles, actually a Hard Days Night is rarer , pressed in smaller numbers for some reason. You’ll notice the flipback cover has the “ Stereo “sticker, this because it’s a mono cover ,and like some other countries when they pressed in Stereo they elected not to make a Stereo cover, as they didn’t sell that many in Stereo . They did a great job on this mix, the opening chord to the title song really hits you , it’s not drowned out in Reverb,echo etc. it sounds very Live. The separation is also very good, better than the UK actually, it sounds like they may have made a dedicated Stereo mix, but that’s total conjecture on my part. Condition. Cover is great ! No seam splits, just minor laminate life on front, and I do mean minor. Seams are all clean, open perfect , flipbacks superb. Easily EX . Labels have some spindle wear, not excessive , iPhone couldn’t really pick up spindle trails , still very clean labels, pictures are very close to what the labels look like. No writing etc. VG+ 8/10 scale. Vinyl has four SUPERFICIAL scuffs on side two I believe it was. NOT scratches ,and certainly nothing feelable . Side one really quite clean, hairlines of course. I don’t care if you have a new Record, take it out of inner sleeve once, and you’ll have hairlines .theyre meaningless . I’m sure you all notice you can take pictures of any record regardless of condition and it will look pristine at an angle . I’m just being honest. I dislike sellers that take pictures claiming vinyl looks like it does exactly in pictures ,meaning anything looks near mint, that’s all smoke and mirrors , this is a nice record VG+. Sound is 10/10 . If cleaned it should be quiet as can be, it’s quiet now between tracks ,but hasn’t been cleaned in years . It sounds great. Now. Who is Walter Shenson. He was very close with the Beatles ,and I got to spend some time with him for a couple of days, still pretty much in analog era. He passed away not long after pictures I took of him. Great guy . He was the producer of both a Hard Days Night and Help. He had a lot of great stories about them. I asked him who he liked the best, and who he thought the most natural actor was. Guess who ? George Harrison. Walter liked him very much . I took an entire roll of black and white Tri Ex with my Nikon, got them developed at one of those hour developing places, Walter signed fifteen of them. I’m including one of the signed pictures with each HDN and Help albums I’m selling. If you’re not familiar with him, and how important he was in getting a HDN made ,look him up, he loomed large with the Beatles in 64/65 . He was there watching everything unfold . He was much older than the boys,and not really too aware of their music until he worked with them. He too became a fan of the boys,and loved their music, At the end of the day, Cover EX. Labels and vinyl VG+ . Photo NM,signature NM. ( I never use MINT ) . I’ve got a few unplayed Beatles first UK pressings in Shrink for export , but had to open Shrink to look at which pressings they were . Technically as good as a new unplayed record, but will not grade them mint ... Shipping $5.00 USA . Rest of World $16.00 . Will not sell to RUSSIA ( learned that the hard way ) Portugal, China .
