READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Beatles LP 1969 A Hard Day’s Night Pink Orange in Shrink RARER “Tell Me Who” ERROR NM!

Many rare Beatles albums still in shrink listed this week.

Vinyl--- EX/ NM.  Both sides look completely fresh, with the exception of an extremely light manufacturer’s line on Side 1, and some very short, very light lines through track 1, Side 1.  Nearly imperceptible lines, you’ll have to look under a bright bulb for them.

Plates--- UAS-6366-1/ UAS-6366-2.  This copy was pressed by “Audio Matrix.”  For those familiar with Vee Jay records pressed from these guys, you know the depth and richness of these grooves.  Both sides bear the “Audio Matrix” insignia, as well as the hand-etched date very lightly, 6-14-69.

Cover--- VG.  The cover presents extremely well and would have commanded a higher grade, except that the top seam has suffered moderate shelfwear, a split a few inches long as well as split shrinkwrap.  Same with the bottom seam, only to a much lighter degree.  Original price sticker still affixed to the front cover!

Breathe Holes--- Don’t ask me why, but there are two breathe holes on a United Artists LP!  One is located in the “D” in the word, “Hard,” and the other is due south in George’s hair.

Labels--- NM/ NM.  Freshly-printed looking labels and stunning vinyl makes it doubtful that this copy was played very much at all.

Side 1 label has the other error, “Tell Me Who,” and the “I Cry Instead” has been corrected.  This variation has no running times next to the songs, as well as “I’m Happy Just to Dance With You” fitting on one line.  This variation is very hard to find, as most copies with this pink/orange label have the title corrected to “Tell Me Why.” (See compere photos, which are not part of this auction.)   Try and find one.

There is a slight hybrid variation in which the text font and size of the song titles on the Side 2 label are thicker and larger.

UA Inner Sleeve--- VG.  Inner sleeve presents very well, however; all three seams have splits.  The largest is a few inches long, the smallest is a few millimeters long.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original UA inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: N/A.

Tough piece.  Your Beatles collector will love it on Christmas morn.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
