Beatles - Please Please Me - Black + Gold label, 1st Press Mono (Northern Songs credit)
A number of light scratches can be seen and general scuffing, though it appears still quite shiny.
Plays through without skipping.
On side 1 there is surface noise and crackles between tracks, much less so during the tracks themselves. Crackles more audible in quieter passages on side 2. Overall it is perfectly listenable to my ears.
It MAY benefit from a proper deep cleaning.
Side 2 label has some sticker residue.
Matrix numbers both -1N.
Stamper codes on side 1 appear to be R G (at 3 o'clock) and 2 (at 9 o'clock), and on side 2 is G D (at 3 o'clock) and 1 (at 9 o'clock).
Cover has some tape residue and is creased in places, particularly to right front. There is a split on back cover foldover under the Long Play 33rpm text. Small seam split just under Angus McBean credit. Spine title is still generally readable though has some damage. Has original inner sleeve.
