 THE BEATLES - 'REVOLVER'


This excellent early 2nd pressing dates from late-1966 on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7009

Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text with an 'KT' purchase tax code in the centre of the side 1 label.

The side 2 label carries the earliest 'Dr. Robert' spelling.


Matrix numbers: XEX 605-2 & XEX 606-2

Stamper codes: 1/RD & 1/GT

Vinyl weight: 163g


The disc is housed in a front laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed tri-flipback mono cover.

Complete with its original plain white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve.



CONDITION

Disc: EXCELLENT

Both sides of this well looked-after disc retain all of their deep-gloss shine and bear little more than a few harmless wispy paper hairlines and a sparkling rainbow shine when viewed beneath halogen light. Both labels are clean & bright too with just a small handful of spindle trails around the side 1 centre hole. As always with this pressing some light vinyl background is audible on the quieter tracks on side 1 but there are no clicks, pops or any other audible distractions anywhere.
 
Cover: EXCELLENT

A strong, glossy & fully intact example with a creamy white front panel which retains an unscratched high-gloss laminate free from any 'thumbnail' wrinkles or creasing. All corners are undamaged and both opening edges clean & unworn. The rear panel has a storage ring mark above John's head but this is the only significant sign of wear on the entire cover. Both seams are smooth & unstressed and the spine is clean & fully worded.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Clean & flat with no writing, tears or seam splits.
