1967 UK 1st Pressing Mono LP. This example is housed in one of the earliest covers printed. Housed in a rare & early fully laminated, inner-flipback 'FOURTH PROOF'/'Patents Pending' mono cover with a regular width spine. The words 'FOURTH PROOF' are printed on one of the inner flipbacks, together with the code 'AR D 1321(7)'
This 1st UK mono pressing from 1967 on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 7027.
First pressing -1 / -1 matrix numbers.
Includes the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible around the side 2 centre hole.
Complete with its red & white designer inner-sleeve & unused cut-out sheet.
RECORD - VG/VG Play tested at volume. Mono mix sounds powerful & strong. Ocassional crackle / pop associated with VG vinyl. No skips or jumps. A few surface marks/light scratches. Sounds better than it looks - would grade VG+ if not for visual blemishes.
LABELS - VG+/VG+ (see photos)
SLEEVE - VG+ Minor scuffing to spine although all text remains visible. No splits or tears. No writing.
DESIGNER INNER SLEEVE - VG+ No splits or tears. No writing. General storage wear.
CUT OUT SHEET - EX- Unused. Minor crease across bottom. (see photo)

RECORD COLLECTOR Grading System.
In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records.MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
All my records will be sent to you in specialist vinyl mailers with stiffeners and fragile stickers.This is reflected in the postage charges. I hope this will give my records the best chance of arriving with you safely.
