1967 UK STEREO 1st PRESSING LP
**W I D E S P I N E SLEEVE**
The earliest copies of this LP were housed in sleeves with a 10mm wide spine as opposed to the later 5mm spines.
The disc within this example compliments the early sleeve was one of the first few hundred pressed as it carries '1/G & 1/A' mother/stampers.
This rare and early 1967 first stereo pressing is on the UK yellow & black Parlophone label PCS 7027
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side one label.
Housed in a wide spine fully laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover.
Complete with original red & white inner-sleeve VG+, (no splits) and cut-out sheet NM.
Matrix numbers: YEX 637-1 & YEX 638-1
Stamper numbers: 1/G & 1/A
CONDITION
Cover EXCELLENTVery clean and strong example of this rare sleeve retaining its high gloss laminate - front and rear - with just a few light creases.
The corners are in great shape with just a slight bump to the upper left but the opening edge remains very sharp and clean.
The wide spine is in superb shape - unworn and clear, with no missing laminate or paper.
The inner flipbacks have has some wear along their bottom edges but all seams are strong and unsplit.
Slight 'bubbling' caused by a manufacturing fault visible side two.
Visual: EXCELLENTBright and clean surfaces with just one non-audible 'fingernail' scuff on side one, and some wispy sleeve removal hairlines under intense direct light.
100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Wonderful clean and clear - 'as new' - sound quality with absolutely no crackle, groovewear/loud passage distortion on any track.
There are certainly no clicks, pops, jumps or repeats.
