Original UK 1st Pressing of this iconic double album,complete with Low Numbered cover ( double inner folds / top opening ) original poster , 4 potraits plus divider and custom charcoal inner sleeves. Lovely clean set.

There is alot of speculation around this album, many believe only the 1st presses omit the emi recording print ! etc etc but i have had several copies with the emi recording print and 1G stampers !!! The only point for sure is that all 1st presses have the -1 matrix therefore they are cut from the first laquer. It's also not uncommon that - like this set side 1 & 2 have the emi recording text on the labels and 3 & 4 do not. As these were hand packed mainly by ex servicemen and elderly woman during the peak at EMI's factory in Hayes middlesex, so it's not unusual that many were mixed with different covers, and variations of vinyls.  

COVER :  EX

This example has survived very well with nothing more to fault than a couple of marks on the inside     ( see image ) otherwise the laminate is glossy and in lovely condition, top opening edges are sharp with no feathering , spine is solid with just the unavoidable crease, overall a clean bright solid example . 

VINYLs  :  EX+ / EX      /  EX / EX+

All sides have been play graded and carefully inspected under strong lighting and there are no audio distractions detected on any side , ,they look amazing , some very very fine wispy papersleeve removal lines but these are extremely hard to see as they are super fine. No scratches or blemishes visible on any side and the surfaces are glossy and clean.

INNERs :   EX   

Correct issued apple custom charcoal die-cut inners, couple of storage creases but nothing more .

LABELS :   EX- / EX+     EX+/EX+ 

Super clean and bright examples on all sides, side 1 has a small black round sticker ? have seen this before on other records but not sure if it's from a previous owner or something relevant to the industry ? as stated above , side 1 & 2 have the emi recording text , 3 & 4 do not !

MINT- or M- / NM   is superb , highest grade of item that is not still sealed , almost like new. No marks, scratches, clicks, noise, or anything else, aside from possibly a barely visible and inaudible hairline or two. All minor blemishes will be mentioned in the individual descriptions.

EX or EXCELLENT is also VERY nice, 2-3 light inaudible marks/hairlines perhaps, no disturbing noise, great sound quality.

VG or VERY GOOD  is nice with light hairlines , maybe light handling marks or the odd thin scratch / fingernail line.

G or GOOD Well used but still a worthy item to have. See individual notes on the item in question.

Also + or - ( Plus or Minus ) may be used as an indicator on grade !
