1969 UK 1st PRESS **MONO** LP
**EXCELLENT COPY**
This excellent & early 1969 MONO 1st pressing is on the UK dark green Apple label: PMC 7070
The labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Apple Records..' rims.
There is no tax/price code visible on either label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback early 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover with RED lines, without Patent nos. on lower flipback.
Complete with its original matt black, die-cut inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 715-1 & XEX 716-1

Visual: EXCELLENT
Pristine, high gloss surfaces completely undulled by groove-whitening from overplay, careless handling or improper storage.
Apart from a single, light fingernail scuff on side 1, there are absolutely no other marks or blemishes in daylight.
Close inspection under a halogen desk lamp reveals nothing more than a few barely visible wispy sleeve removal/paper marks.
Quality, thick, sharp-edged vinyl which lies 100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS
Barely played, this copy sounds superb with no crackle or groovewear distortion anywhere.
Even the title track & the easily damaged 'All You Need Is Love' sound fresh & clear.
Although a 'fold down' mix of the stereo version, the sound is very powerful with a rich, deep bass especially noticable on 'Hey Bulldog'.
The fragile orchestral tracks play with just an occaisional soft tick & normal background for this age vinyl, but no significant wear.
Both run-ins & all bands play silently without intereference and there are no jumps or repeats anywhere.
Cover: EXCELLENT PLUS
Clean, bright & vibrant front panel retaining a high-gloss laminate bearing just 2 light spine wrinkles a single, small 'thumbnail' crease.
The lower right corner has a slight rub, but the others are square, clean & sharp.
The opening edges are also clean & sharp with just a hint of light wear to the rear, but no tears or feathering.
The rear panel is pristine clean and white with just a tiny smudge on the text but no discolouration, writing or missing paper.
All the flipbacks are very clean, intact & undamaged and both seams and the spine are in perfect condition.
Strict visual grading in daylight and directly under a halogen desk lamp.
All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
