READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Beatles-Related LP George Harrison Wonderwall in Shrink, Scarcer “Mfd. By” on Side 1, NM!

(Fun Facts:  Most people don’t realize that this album, released on Nov. 1, 1968 in England, was actually the first title released on the Apple label, ahead of The Beatles’ White Album, released on Nov. 22, 1968.

It was also the very last recording that George did with Indian-style music.  This album must have gotten the sitar out of his system.

Some collectors know that Peter Tork plays banjo.)

For an album that sold in low numbers on the first pressing in 1968, (only charting at 49 in the Top 50), it’s surprising that it went into a second pressing in 1971, which sold even fewer copies.  This second run features the “Mfd. By Apple Records, Inc.” on the Side 1 label at the bottom.  Compare it to your copy.

The leftover inserts from the first pressing were exhausted on this second run, and most copies did not come with one.

This copy does.

Vinyl--- EX/EX.  But for some manufacturer’s defects which are very, very light, the vinyl would have graded as NM.

Plates--- J8/ J9.  Hand-etched Delta symbol (or rifle) in the dead wax on both sides makes this copy pressed in Winchester.

Cover--- VG+.  Still in shrinkwrap, which is tight against the cover.  Some yellowing has occurred, some light foxing as well.  Still a very nice cover, NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Original price sticker still affixed to the back cover, indicating that the shopkeep thought the Berlin Wall side was the front cover.

Breathe Holes--- There is one breathe hole on the front cover above the tree foliage.

Insert--- VG+/ EX.  It’s very difficult to find these inserts without finger divots all over it.  This insert has exactly none!  However; what it does have is light moisture damage to one upper corner.  There has to something, right?

Labels--- NM/NM.  Fresh, new-looking labels.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Apple Inner Sleeve--- Generic white inner sleeve with no die-cut hole for the labels to show is present and in VG+ condition.  Nice and flat, no finger divots.  Slight yellowing.  ¼ inch bottom center seam split.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: N/A.

There will be no upgrade needed for this copy.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
