Description

FRare and unusual bootleg copy of Billy Joel's 1st LP on the original Family Productions label, before he signed with Columbia, infamous for its sped-up mastering. Distribution of the LP was handled terribly by Joel's first producer, leading to shortages in stores nationwide and driving the market for gray market copies. There is no sound difference between this copy and actual F.P. pressings, including the speed of the mastering, leading me to guess that this was made from the masters or a master copy at the time. When Columbia signed Joel, the album was eventually remastered at the slower speed.   Gorgeous copy, barely played, NM vinyl and jacket. 
I am a collector, not a dealer, just clearing out some duplicates.
