Black Sabbath:  Paranoid - Original 1970 Vertigo "Large" Swirl Pressing


Original first press with LARGE swirl at the top of side B.  Later pressings use lighter weight vinyl and have the word "Vertigo" at the top of the label with a smaller swirl.  DON'T BE FOOLED!

 

Vinyl:

 

Side 1-  VG+:  This side plays with light background noise in the quieter places of the album.  NO  TICKS, JUMPS or STICKS.  The vinyl has a few very light surface marks.  Plays nicely.

 

Side 2-  VG+:  This side plays with light background noise in the quieter places of the album.  NO TICKS, JUMPS or STICKS.  The vinyl has a few very light surface marks.  Plays nicely.

 

This copy is GREAT  if you want to hear what an original UK issue Black Sabbath Paranoid album sounded like in its original form... from 1970.  Thicker vinyl than later pressings too.   This is by far the most dynamic pressing.  Not a mint copy, but is still a very pleasurable listen!
