Description
Black Sabbath---"Paranoid"---Rare 1st UK Press With Large Swirl, Vertigo At Bottom and Date Above Speed
Here we have an original 1st UK pressed album in stereo from 1970 on the black and white Vertigo "swirl" label with a cat. no. 6360 011 and matrices 1Y//1 & 2Y//1.
Vinyl: Looks superb with a few light hairlines marks but it still has a very high gloss shine. Side 1 plays with some surface noise in quiet parts but improves until the last track (Iron Man) when it has a sticking point as the fast part begins. Its a real shame but is made up for on side 2 which plays EX. with a little very light surface on quiet parts.
Labels: EX. with just a little visible spindle rash. Side 1 as the full swirl design and side 2 has the larger 42mm swirl with "Vertigo" at the bottom. It also has the 1970 date above the 331/3 speed. These labels look great.
Sleeve: EX+. The gatefold sleeve is very clean and tidy with a lovely finish. There is a a little edge and a few thumb creases and there is a little sticker residue which will probably remove. Inside are 2 tiny pin holes on the right hand side of the gatefold.
Inner: Inner sleeve is original swirl one and has a little damage around the die cut centre on both sides.
