Description

An original USA 1st press A1/B1 on Asylum Records. Etching "Kendun" - signifying 1st issue. Don't think I've heard a better rendition of this LP..superb pressing. The vinyl comes housed in an original heavy textured cover - it stands out a mile. This copy is preserved so well because I've literally just removed the original shrink-wrap. It's a stunner for sure. Original deletion cut can be found on the spine and again on the original inner sleeve proving it is original. Also, note we have the gold back sheet used to censor those tasty words on the back of the original cover. A great historic artefact in its own right, and a blindingly good rendition of yet another classic Dylan LP. 100% genuine and 100% complete..
Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely condition and has clearly only seen very light use. Under close inspection I can make out nothing more than a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with fantastic clarity. You might detect a couple of slight crackles in a couple of places per side. The only slight deviation is just a couple more crackles in 'Dirge' and a couple of minuscule ticks in the closing couple of seconds, but I'm literally being very judgemental..it still plays super even on this track. Otherwise it's just clean delivery all the way...crank it and sit back taking in some glorious audio.
Cover (Ex) An absolute stunner and has been preserved by that original shrink-wrap. Most examples will show surface wear or ageing by this point in time. Not here! Hardly a single sign of wear or ageing. If you need a top specimen..this could be the one for you. All surfaces clean and unmarked. Lovely spine and edges. Just remember that deletion cut that they used in the USA as the title was about to come out of the charts. A very carefully looked after specimen and one it would be hard to better. Overall it still retains great rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No splits. The deletion cut proves it is 100% original.
Back-Sheet (Ex) Very nice and still retains its original flipback.
