Description

Brenda Lee 'Is It True' 45rpm 7" Decca 'Advance Test Recording' acetate / lacquer aluminium disc

Extremely rare and hard to find Brenda Lee single ‘Is It True’ 45rpm Decca Advance Test Recording - released 1964.  Acetate disc (aluminum disc with a coating of nitrocellulose lacquer) with no B-side (B-side is smooth). Artist and track name are hand-typed on blue Decca label and the catalogue number (05915) and the text ‘Immediate Special’ are hand-written underneath.

Disc has a fair amount of visible surface scratching but plays remarkably well with no skipping/jumping. No warping or distortion – lays nice and flat on the deck.
