Description
Bruce Springsteen "Born To Run" LP jacket (n/l). ULTRA RARE "SCRIPT" COVER! This is an original (to my knowledge) pressing of the famed Bruce Springsteen "script" cover, done for the Born To Run album. The story behind this is long; essentially, Bruce rejected this design, but some copies happened to make their way out.
This auction is for THE COVER ONLY. NO inserts, disc, etc.
CONDITION: the jacket overall looks to be VG-/VG+, w/some scratches, a few small stains on the back, and a fingerprint or two. Some ringwear on the back of the jacket (the owner stuck a regular pressing of the disc in the jacket; this is not included). Overall, it looks GREAT, w/no split seams or fading. There is some wear, but it pales in comparison to the rarity and scarcity of this piece. See the photos, and judge.
This came from the collection of a record industry veteran, who also happened to be a big Springsteen fan.
