Description
You are browsing a used, defective copy of Cake's 'B-Sides and Rarities' album pressed on clear with black smoke color vinyl.
Please read this listing carefully as this LP features a defective Side A. Side B is pressed normally and plays fine (Very Good with some surface noise/vinyl warmth). Read below for more detail on Side A.
Side A is pressed slightly off, so needle moves more while playing and causes multiple skips (many on Track 1, a few on the rest of the side) and noticeable noise/distortion.
Side B plays Very Good, with one or two moments where I heard a flutter/click and some more common surface noise/vinyl warmth.
This is a good pickup as an affordable, no-frills, rough copy until you get your hands on a better copy via a full Cake box set down the road. This would also work well for display purposes, such as hanging or framing. The jacket is Near Mint and the record surface looks clean/new.
It is rare to see this LP for sale by itself, as this pressing was only released as part of Cake's infamous Record Store Day 2014 vinyl box set, which was limited to 900 copies with a small second run soon afterward (second run pressing total was not released). This copy is from the second pressing of the box set.
