Description

This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy of the second of two 1972 LPs by Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band.  Like The Spotlight Kid, the record shows Beefheart and the group backing away from the experimentalism of Trout Mask Replica and Lick My Decals Off, Baby for a more listener friendly sound, though its tracks are more tightly arranged than those of its immediate predecessor.  The record is housed in an embossed clear plastic outer sleeve.  This sleeve has small tears at the fold of the flap (the seams are otherwise intact), along with some light rippling and light ring wear (EX-).  The die-cut white inner jacket is in fine condition with some creasing along the top seam and some light staining (EX).  The disc has some light dinging, scraping, and scuffing, and plays with some light surface noise -- EX(-).

I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
