Pierre Monteux conducts the London Symphony Orchestra in Symphony 5 and Egmont Overture by Beethoven. The Classic Records Victrola VICS 1103 12" 33 RPM stereo 180 gram LP is factory sealed. This performance was recorded in the 60s by UK Decca along with symphonies 2,4 and 7.  Symphonies 2,4,7 were issued by Decca on their SPA series midprice line and by RCA in the USA on their budget label Victrola. Symphony 5 was not issued by either company for reasons unknown. It appears that RCA reserved the number VICS 1103 for this performance and probably prepared the artwork and notes used on this release. There have been only two other releases that we could find, London Stereo Treasury STS 15519 in a low quality US pressing in the 80s and London Japan K18C 8212.
