Here’s for sale a mega rare original copy of COMUS "First Utterance" LP, very first UK pressing on Dawn label, no insert !
The gatefold cover has some spine wear and a signature in blue pen on the back cover, looks good globally speaking, decent, used cover but not abused.
The record has some bad looking hairlines on side 1 BUT doesn’t jump or skips on my Technics turntable - it does create some more or less light crackles though that are hearable depending on the "heaviness" of the music - I believe it’s a solid pressing, the music is dynamic and loud, those light crackles are not that disturbing if you’re not a MINT copy addict, it just sounds much better than what it looks.
Side 2 is much better, it has two or three hairlines of the same aspect as on side 1 but the crackles are less important - again a solid pressing with loud music. (It’s Comus, you probably know what I mean, it’s not the casual soft-folk music).
Unbelievably rare album to get in any conditions! A personal fav’ but this one needs to find a new home!
