Description

I HAVE ACQUIRED A VERY LARGE AND AMAZINGLY CLEAN COLLECTION AND IT WILL BE PUT UP FOR AUCTION OVER THE NEXT COUPLE MONTHS.  ALL THESE RECORDS CAME FROM THE ESTATE OF A FORMER RECORD STORE EMPLOYEE.  ALMOST ALL OF THEM HAD ONLY ONE OWNER UNTIL NOW.  AND THEY HAVE BEEN SITTING IN A CLOSET FOR A VERY LONG TIME.  A TON OF THESE RECORDS HAVE ONLY BEEN PLAYED ONCE AND QUITE A FEW WERE NEVER PLAYED.  THERE ARE WELL OVER 100 VERY RARE AND HARD TO FIND ALBUMS IN THIS COLLECTION.  MOST OF THE RECORDS IN THIS COLLECTION ARE SO NICE THAT IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO UPGRADE THEM.

THEY ARE MOSTLY JAZZ, BLUES AND ROCK.  THEY ARE ALL ORIGINAL RECORDINGS.  AND THERE ARE SOME PROMOS AND SOME THAT HAVE NEVER BEEN OPENED.

ALL OF THE AUCTIONS WILL BE NO RESERVE.  PLEASE SEE MY GRADING GUIDELINES TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF THIS LISTING.  IF YOU LOOK AT MY FEEDBACK YOU WILL SEE MOST PEOPLE HAVE SAID THAT THE RECORDS THEY RECEIVE ARE BETTER THAN EXPECTED.

ALL RECORDS WILL BE PLACED IN 3 mil. POLY SLEAVES.

This auction is for:

Carl Mann -- Like, Mann

Phillips International = LP 1960

The record is very good ++.  This one looks unplayed.  I don't see any marks or grooves that would affect the sound.  This record would be very hard to upgrade -- escpecially considering how hard it is to find one in lesser condition!!

The cover is good.  The front is nice with only a couple smudges.  The back has a little wear.  The problem with this one is the seams--the top seam is scratched and split, the bottom seam is split but the spine is nice with one small scratch in the center.

Please see the photos and email me with any questions before bidding.  All questions will be answered in a timely manner but those asked within the last 24 hours may not be answered in time.

I am relatively new to selling records but I believe my grading is pretty accurate(most have said they are better than described)View My Feedback

MY VINYL GRADING GUIDELINES:

Near Mint (NM) - Nearly perfect record. Shows no obvious signs of wear

Very Good++ (VG++) - Shows some signs that it was played but well taken care of.

Very Good+ (VG+) - Surface shows some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that shouldn't affect the sound.

Very Good (VG) - Surface noice will probably be evident upon playing but will not over power the music.  Groove wear will start to be noticeable as with light scratches that will affect the sound.

Good (G) - Plays without skipping but it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear.

I apologize to all watching and bidding on this auction.  I just found out that this record was mislabeled as far as condition goes.   I noticed today that I cannot call it a VG++ ----- I am very sorry for this.  It does have stylus marks.  There are the expected pops every once in a while but not bad -- I listened to the entire album and it sounded good.  I would definately consider it VG however.  Like I said I listened to the album and I still don't think you would be disappointed.

Please click below and listen to the audio clip I added -- this is an unedited clip from the album you are looking at.  It is one complete track(Ain't Got No Home) and the beginning of I'm Bluer Than Anyone Can Be
