'Hotcakes' (7E-1002) was released in 1974 and is among Carly Simon's best albums. There are many beautiful songs and melodies which appear on this record .....'I Haven't Got Time For The Pain', 'Mockingbird', 'Safe and Sound'.....with a stellar cast of guest musicians including her then husband, James Taylor, Robbie Robertson, Dr. John, Klaus Voorman, Michael Brecker and several others. This album was produced by Richard Perry but much credit has to be given to Paul Buckmaster who arranged and conducted the strings, horns, and woodwinds which are all over this album. I am offering a white label promo DJ copy which is usually among the very first pressed and therefore has a more detailed and more faithful playback to the original master tape.
Condition of Gatefold Jacket: Excellent(+) .....very little to fault on this beautifully preserved jacket....some inoffensive edge wear, the start of a barely noticeable seam split at the top....a nick to the bottom left of the front cover. Elektra promo sticker affixed to front cover. Inner gatefold is perfect.
Condition of Lyric/Inner: Near Mint
Condition of Record: Near Mint.....wonderful gloss....looks barely played. Only some faint hairlines and sleeve removal marks are visible under strong light. The audio is as good as it gets....Superb!
