Description

An original very 1st MONO press of NM on the DERAM label from 1967. Matrix 1A/1A - the very 1st cut [according to CAT it's the deepest!] Stampers 1U/1K - placing it amongst the 1st few thousand copies ever pressed by Decca. Also note the Decca deep groove - this can only be found on the earliest copies. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Mono Cover with pinched spine. Also included is the original Decca poly-lined inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - absolutely nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with  one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Given the very acoustic nature of this title - a clean player is imperative. And this copy does not disappoint - not perfectly quiet but clean enough to impress! Lovely warmth and detail to this audio. Expect nothing more than a touch of light static in a couple of isolated moments. i.e. precious little. All I could make out that was detrimental was a coupe of isolated ticks in one spot on side 2. Sit back and take in some classic CAT!
Cover (Vg+) In very respectable condition with a lovely shiny front with minimal creasing. A bit of handling on the rear and a touch of ageing at the extremities. There's a stamp up in the top left corner. Edge wear is relatively light and the spine 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing. No splits.
