Description
This is the super rare variation of one of the most sought after, legendary releases of the 80's, Celtic Frost's "Morbid Tales." The difference between this and the regular version is this is one of a handful that were pressed on translucent brown wax! Only two have ever been sold here before, and it's a definite rarity to find one like it. I sold another copy of this awhile back for over $300. This copy has no poster but it does have a cool drawing that was inside the cover. The cover is in pretty decent shape, with only slight wear to a couple corners and edges, the beginning of a tiny seam split on the spine and a few very small creases. Vinyl has a few stray marks and sleeve scuffs... and the record has a stamping defect in the vinyl itself in the last two songs of side 2, causing skips. It's not horrible - it plays through the skips, and one of the songs is the not really essential Danse Macabre "instrumental"...but I obviously have to mention it here. The real value here, however, is the massive rarity of this piece of metal history in general... it is so hard to find another one of these, so from a collector standpoint, it's quite a worthy purchase to add to ones' collection! Don't miss out on this one!!
