Thanks for your interest in this fine and rare piece of jazz history. This is the second release in the Dial 'great sides of modern jazz - lp series'. Charlie Parker #2: Dial 202, released in 1949. Please read below for detailed information on the condition of this piece. Generally speaking, both vinyl and jacket are about as near NM as one could get. In fact, it is likely that this piece has never (or rarely ever) been played. I will happily answer any questions about this release. Good luck with your bidding.

      Side 202-A: Listed as the Charlie Parker All-Stars, and featuring: Charlie Parker (alto); Wardell Gray (tenor); Howard McGhee (trumpet); Dodo Marmarosa (piano); Barney Kessel (guitar); Red Callender (bass); and Don Lamond (drums): Relaxing At Camarillo; Cheers; Carving The Bird; Stupendous. Side 202-B: Listed as the Charlie Parker Quartet, and featuring: Charlie Parker (alto); Erroll Garner (piano); Red Callender (bass); Harold West (drums); and Earl Coleman (vocal): Cool Blues; Dark Shadows; Hot Blues; This Is Always; Bird’s Nest. (Note: on this side, Garner is attributed before Parker.)

Vinyl: Flat and clean; no scratches; a couple of very small bubbles in vinyl that do not affect play. Minimal surface noise, most prevalent between tracks.

Record label: Fully intact; minor spindle wear.

Jacket: Fully intact; slight age spotting. Charlie Parker and bird in a beret image with green background.

Although this picture is of the back cover of Dial 206, Art Tatum, the back covers of Dial 201 - 206 are identical and not specific to each release. At one time, I had possession of Dial, 201, 202, 203, 205 and 206.
