Description
I am the original owner of this record. I played it once. It is visually in Mint Condition. However, it is not without a flaw. About half way through side 1, there are three loud pops. Apparently during the pressing process a very, very tiny piece of vinyl embedded itself into the grooves. Perhaps there is a way to remove it, but I did not even try. Frankly, it would probably require micro-surgery, the piece of vinyl is that small. Also, please note that David Chesky did not believe in de-horning the stampers, which would have resulted in high-end detail loss. I once read an interview where he stated that is is necessary to play these records several times so that the stylus polishes and removes any random tick and pops. For the sake of full disclosure, there are a few other mild ticks on this record, but remember, I only played it once, so you may have to play it a number of times to smooth out the sound. So there you have it, not a perfect record, but if you can look past those ticks, you will be rewarded with one of the finest audiophile records available. (Not just for sound, but for the performance as well.) I will ship this record worldwide, and I will always combine multiple purchases to save you money on postage. This is a no reserve auction, Good Luck with your bids!!!
