This is it. The original Culture of Kings release that set the precedent for quality hip-hop in Australia and unearthing talent that have continued to grow from strength to strength even 13 years on! This was the only release to be put out on the Pulling Strings Productions label however the Hilltop Hoods continued to use the Pulling Strings logo on a majority of their releases and side projects for a short time afterwards. Volume 1 was much ahead of it's time, especially when implementing a sound that has now become the benchmark of what most people have come to know as hip-hop in Australia. While this first instalment was largely Adelaide artists, if it's a history lesson in Australian Hip-Hop you're after as both a collector and an avid enthusiast, grab this!
