Description
DAISY CHAIN – STRAIGHT OR LAME (1967)
12" LP United International lpm-13001 ORIGINAL
This is one of the holy grails of femme psych, terribly rare and with a fantastic sleeve design. About half of the album is quite trippy, with great use of swirling organ and just a bit of garagy sloppiness. The other half is commercial pop, with occasional horns. The mainstream songs are pretty good, though clearly this album would have been more fun if all of it was in the style of "Zzotto" and "Love Them All." Not the masterpiece insane collectors of female psych would hope for, but a worthwhile album with a few killer songs.
This record appear in the book "1001 Record Collector Dreams" by Hans Pokora with thre stars of rarity.
