Description
KBK Records, 1971. Original sealed copy of this prepubescent folkpop obscurity that was a top secret title in U.S. Psych Mafia circles for a decade plus and is now being shared with us common folk. Two 10 year old Midwest girls Tres & Kitsy wrote the songs, sing the songs and play all guitars. They get back up from Wendy on bass and Mike on drums. I'll add three clips, two bouncy ("Children of Sunshine" and "Dandelions") and one soft ("Harmony") but MP3s won't do this justice. A lot of my friends hear this as brilliant proto-indie pop and a few others still haven't recovered from the sticker shock ("This is really cute and all, but..."). I think it's wonderful, and fun, and moving, and one of very few truly unique vintage vanity kidpop LPs I've run across. This is a spare. I spent more than my BIN price on my personal copy and will not be parting with it anytime soon. Here's hoping this gets reissued at some point and I'll take this opportunity to state publicly that Companion Records is interested.
